Our History
 Our salon has been a fixture in Forest Lake for three decades now.
The original founder moved to Forest Lake from Iceland to be with her husband and raise her family. She began operating her salon in the basement of her home, where she quickly outgrew the space.
She then outgrew two additional locations and decided to move
the company to where it resides today.

Wanting to retire from the salon industry, she sold the salon to Shari and Kirby Sell in 1992. While working through the kinks of their first business, Shari and Kirby kept their eye on the dream. Their goal was to become
a full service Aveda Concept salon and day spa, and to offer a their employees a great place to learn and grow. To achieve this vision,
they moved the salon to a new suite in the same building.
Together they built their dream one nail at a time.
In 1999 their goals became a reality and Adévia SpaSalon was born!

Our growth as a company has been a cooperative effort with all of our team playing a vital role. Today we have grown to a staff of over thirty employees, with two flourishing locations. We are looking forward to what our creative team comes up with next! We love what we do!
